On 28th September 2006 the East Midlands Regional Assembly will be publishing a Draft Regional Plan for consultation. This document will outline the draft housing figures for District Authorities and planning policies to guide development in the East Midlands.
The responses to this consultation will inform the Examination of the Regional Plan due to be held in May and June next year. This is run by an independent Inspector and will consider responses to the draft before making recommendations on the final contents of the Regional Plan. Harborough District's Local Development Framework will have to conform to the adopted Regional Plan and deliver the housing and employment requirements.
